Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality/Warranty Manager to lead our quality assurance and warranty processes within our manufacturing operations along with leading our field service department. This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements. The manager will also lead efforts related to warranty analysis, customer returns, and field failure investigations to drive product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the quality assurance team and the field service team
Develop, implement, and maintain ISO/IATF/AS or other applicable quality management systems.
Oversee internal and external audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
Monitor product quality performance using KPIs and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.
Analyze warranty claims and field failure data to identify root causes and recommend improvements.
Act as primary liaison for customers on quality and warranty issues, including complaint resolution and corrective action follow-up.
Collaborate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to drive quality improvements in products and processes.
Lead efforts to reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ), including scrap, rework, and returns.
Maintain quality documentation, including control plans, inspection instructions, and PPAP submissions.
Provide training to employees on quality standards, tools, and procedures.
Prepare and present reports to senior leadership on quality performance, trends, and improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (CQE, CQA, Six Sigma, etc.) preferred.
5+ years of experience in quality assurance in a industrial manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Experience with root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.) and problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC).
Excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
Typical manufacturing plant environment with occasional exposure to machinery, noise, and manufacturing processes.
The position offers a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000.00 per year and is bonus eligible. Bonuses are performance-based.
